President & CEO: Douglas W. Miller

Board Member

Douglas has led multiple organizations in the US and UK, in finance, entertainment, information technology, publishing, and supply chain management, including regulated film investment funds in the UK which raised and managed over $500 million and produced 23 feature films. He also founded and led Unilever’s Knowledge Management Group. He was a Captain in the United States Marine Corp and was highly decorated for his service in the 1991 Gulf War. He earned a B.A. in economics from Harvard University and has dual US/UK citizenship.

Chairman & EVP Corporate Affairs: Ronald Cohen

Board Member

Ron is the Founder of Evryx and inventor of the underlying patents. He has 29 years experience in technology development, operations, and management. He was previously a program manager at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory from 1989 to 2007. Prior to JPL he was an engineer at TRW and a Space Shuttle flight controller at NASA in Houston. M.S. Engineering, Stanford University; B.S. Aerospace Engineering, Penn State University; Executive Management Program, UCLA Anderson school.

CFO: Ken Richards

Board Member

Previously, co-founder and CEO of Girvan Technology Holdings, LLC, a successful technology development company. Ken has 25 years experience in corporate and investment banking, including serving as Managing Director with CIBC World Markets in Los Angeles and Toronto, and CFO of both public and private companies. During his career, he has completed many large debt, high yield and equity financings, both in North America and internationally. He is also co-founder of the Westlake/Santa Barbara Chapter of Tech Coast Angels and previously served on TCA’s Board of Governors (TCA is the largest angel-funding network in the U.S.). BSc (Biology); BComm; MBA (Dalhousie University).

Chief Scientist: David Moore

David is a computer vision expert. He developed the vision system for an autonomous car at MIT that in 2007 completed a 60-mile course and crossed the finish line of the DARPA Urban Challenge. Previously, he has done software engineering work at Google, NVIDIA, and Evolution Robotics. He is active in the open source community, where he has contributed to the Linux kernel and worked on a number of imaging-related projects. He has an M.S. in Computer Science from MIT and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Caltech.

Chief Engineer: Ted Specht

Ted served as a NASA/JPL engineer for over 25 years, developing mission software and working on semantic web research projects. During this time he has had the fortune to work on a wide range of projects including government regulatory compliance software, spy plane navigation systems, deep space robotic missions, and a space shuttle mission. During his career he has also worked on a wide range of projects including government regulatory compliance software and spy plane navigation systems. Ted has a BS in Management Information Science from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia.

Chief Marketing Officer: Tony Spencer, Ph.D.

Dr. Spencer has over 17 years’ military, educational, and corporate management and leadership experience. He is an accomplished business strategist, consultant, and advisor with extensive experience in business development and brand identity creation and extension. He has managed business development and brand extension projects for companies such as Sony Pictures, BMW, Lexus, Kingsford, NASCAR, and Mike’s Hard Lemonade. He has also served as a brand and marketing consultant to NBC Universal and TapouT. Dr. Spencer attended Northwestern University on a highly-competitive National Science Foundation Fellowship, through which he graduated in 2006 Summa Cum Laude with a Ph.D. in social and consumer psychology. He has a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University.

VP Interactive: Johann Huber-Gutierrez

A veteran of internet media, advertising, and technology. He has been involved in e-commerce, mobile, and internet media startups since 1996, and has been at the forefront of developing innovative strategies, technologies, and partnerships. He has lived and worked in Japan, Austria, Spain, and Japan. He studied International Relations at the University of Southern California, International studies at Waseda University in Tokyo, and Executive Education Programs at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.

US: Adam Shapiro

Adam was previously Executive Editor for WNBC.com, Managing Editor of WCBSTV.com and News Director of News 12 Interactive, bringing triple-digit growth in traffic and revenue to all three properties. Before that, he was a television news producer, leading #1 newscasts in Miami, Phoenix and Las Vegas. He also was a news radio anchor and sports talk show host. Adam attended Syracuse University, where he graduated with a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism.

EU: Tony Keaveny

Tony Keaveny previously, Director Digital Sales Limited, a dedicated digital advertising sales specialist, exclusive clients included Enpocket, Channel4.com and Media Run. Extensive knowledge of traditional media, digital media the mobile industry, mobile advertising sales and marketing experience of clients, advertising agencies, and media owners. For four consecutive years ran the most successful sales teams that were voted “Sales Team of the Year” after extensive annual surveys of the advertising marketplace at the Daily Mail, Capital Radio and Emap. Japan: Tom Garofalo – Managing Director

Tom has over 20 years experience in Asia, including senior engineering & marketing roles with DuPont (North America and Asia), Business Director, Dupont New Electronics Enterprises, Asia/Pacific Region (Tokyo) and Director, New Business Development, Dupont Telecommunications (Singapore). He also served as President, North Asia Operations, Comverse Technology (software/mobile media systems); VP, Century Computers Inc (telecom IP); and Regional Vice President, Auspec Systems (enterprise storage). Tom holds a B.S. in Engineering from Clarkson University.

China: Xi Tan – Managing Director

Xi was the Senior Program Director and member of handset certification committee for 8 years at China Telecom, focusing on satellite and terrestrial wireless communications in the wireless business division of China Telecom, where he managed wireless applications and services over PHS, 3G technical trials on Value Added Service platforms, and also worked on 3G network and service planning. He led a cross-border cooperation with Qualcomm to implement the OmniTRACS-QWBS product. Before that, he was Customer Service Director in the industrial automation sector for 5 years, with extensive project management experience. He holds an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
